Conservation debate hosted at Bonhams, April 2018

 

A panel debate developed by Francesca, which took place in April 2018, at Bonhams, with key journalists, and members of government invited. 

The intention was to  broaden the scope of how conservation issues are debated in the media, and encourage press interest, ahead of the Illegal Wildlife Trade inter-governmental conference, hosted in London, in October of that year. 

The panellists were journalist and presenterJohn Simpson CBE,  Dr Alasdair Harris, founder of Blue Ventures,  Ian Craig OBE, CEO of NRT,  and BBC presenter Liz Bonnin, The moderator was Baroness Lynda Chalker, former Minister for Africa and founder of Africa Matters. 

The event was opened by her Excellency Madame Aichatou Sanni Aoudou, Ambassador of Gabon to the UK. The event supported The Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT), Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and Blue Ventures.
